Ah, thanks. I had to add a line like this:

*       rc-rc5-tv                hauppauge_grey

(where hauppauge_grey is the file that I created). The original
rc_maps.cfg only had

*       rc-rc5-hauppauge         hauppauge

which I think is for the hauppauge "new" remote.
