I was on 0x15 and had bad sync issues.  Using RCA audio with a VIP211.  
My backend is only used for headless server, and is a quad core Q6600 
intel with 4Gig ram on a supermicro motherboard.  It's got lots of 
horsepower.
Rolled back to 0x0f and sync issues completely disappeared.
