[mythtv-users] python job.setComment equivalent in perl

Does anyone have a perl user-script that updates a job comment field?

The python bindings declare a command "job.setComment(comment)". I have not
found a equivalent in the perl bindings. I would like my transcode script to
be able to report its last line from the logfile, so I can tell in mythweb
how far along the job is.
