Actually, if you look back in the thread I never defined "correctly
structured" that decision MUST be left to the community. If an individual
wants to write their own theme, to their own standards and keep it for their
very own.. they're obviously free to do that and will always be, and I
would be the last person to suggest otherwise.

However, again as I proposed a few messages ago, AND if this "proposal" were
valued and adopted by the MythTV community as a whole.. for the "greater
good" shall we say... theme designers could CHOOSE to adopt a defined set of
structural standards that would allow their themes to be adapted by
individuals more easily. These standards COULD include such things as more
tightly defined naming conventions, ordering conventions of how/where things
appear in the file, inheritance conventions and a whole host of other things
that might make up that long respected thing we call a standard.

If you want to design to your own whim.. go for it.. have a ball.. enjoy
your theme.. but if you want to contribute in a much more meaningful way,
and maybe even be revered by the community for your efforts.. do it for
something more than your own motives and in a cooperative way so that
everyone might benefit from your efforts AND be able to adapt that to their
own uses.

*IF* this suggestion/proposal/what-have-you qualifies me as arrogant....
sure, I'll own up to it.. I'm the biggest arrogant bastard in the world if
it pleases you. I'll be in good company of those who have suggested
"standards" over the history of the world.

And maybe you would be in favor of every manufacturer in the US (or the
world for that matter) to decide on their own idea of "correct structure" of
a USB cable, monitor connector, electrical plug, gas pump, computer user
interface, keyboard layout, mouse button layout, network connector, landline
phone jack connector, etc etc.. (ok..I could go on but I'll stop.. you
probably get the point by now) should be?
