That was for me and still has not been picked up yet on the fedora side. 
I currently use two MCE USB units that Jarod helped me to get working 
which work great.

John another option is to call Hauppauge and check with them if they 
still carry the MCE USB receiver/two port blaster. That is how I got 
mine when I bought my capture cards and I know they sell replacement 
parts but you will have to call as they are not on the web site. Last 
time I checked they were not that expensive. I also have a slightly used 
iguana IR with three emitters and splitter cable if you want to try to 
get it working. Also I have Comcast DTA100's setup and working great if 
you need lircd.conf files and working lockout channel change scripts 
when you are ready that work with the Hauppauge silver surfboard remote.
