Small update: I noticed that the massive corruption I'm currently seeing
(Ubuntu 11.04, xorg-edgers stack) does magically vanish when I open
another window (a terminal, for instance) on top of MythTV runnin in
full screen mode.

Then, the rendering including kernel(2x) deint looks quite ok and well
timed. Howerver, the CPU load is twice as high (xv: 30%, gl: 60%). Also,
the rendering is much more itchy about other things going on. For
example, when I have "top" running in said terminal window, then there's
a slight hickup each time "top" updates its screen. I didn't dare yet
starting a make -j3 on some large body of code, which the Xv rendering
doesn't bother in the least. (I'm using rtprios, of course).

Regards
Greg
