[mythtv-users] Just upgraded to latest git and now I get "Protocol version check failure."

 Have you tried it with the latest code?  I commited several fixes for a few little things after that original commit.

If you'd tried it with the very latest code and it still wont work, please open a ticket (unless you have already) with the output from starting both the frontend and backend with -v socket,network,extra

And the output of ifconfig -a and the output of "netstat -antu"
