BBC HD & BBC One HD currently recording on a Nova HD-S2.

The scan was done on a Satix S2 because the HD-S2 is in a slave backend but I've certainly scanned DVBS2 channels with it in the past.

Yes, that's the same card

The same, you didn't post the syslog entry where the firmware gets loaded mine is loading 1.26.90.0

There were some problems with the linux-firmware-nonfree package in some older Ubuntu's, the guys got some of us here to test and find the correct firmware to match the driver versions in use, might be worth getting a fresh firmware, instructions on the linux tv wiki.
