A quick comparison does confirm we are using the same codes, I must have not
had my blaster aligned properly when trying the test codes. I am 100%sure
that the HDPVR is doing the blasting, as confirmed by it not working when
the IRBlaster is not aligned exactly right. My MCE IR receiver is in a
different location, out of line of sight of the STB.
Things are working well, one last detail is that I am seeing high cpu usage
from this related process:

And some messages whenever the channel change script runs:
