Maybe it's more like *some* people wouldn't notice a video lag of
80ms.  The point I was trying to make was that video lagging is
generally much more noticeable that video leading.

Values I've seen quoted as acceptable are 10-15ms for audio leading
video and 20-45ms for video leading audio.  But as you say, it varies.
