Ack. Right you are. I was mis-remembering. The initial page (without any 
filters) still takes a really long time to load, mostly because of the 
thumbnails. I can stop the page while it's loading and change the 
filter, though, so that helps.

I still think it would be helpful if the initial page had pagination, 
though.
