I am willing to help, but be aware that I pretty much only have weekends to work on this.
I have an extra hard disk in my system I use for testing. Unfortunately I tried to install the ATI proprietary driver on it and
screwed it up. I'll have to re-install Ubuntu on it next weekend before I start messing with compiling MythTV.
Also be aware that I don't have much experience compiling under linux.
