FYI
I'm using telnet to control FEs with VoIP calls.
Unfortunately this commit causes me segfaults on mythfrontend process (1 
for every 2-5 telnet accesses).
Also I observe sometimes "query location" returns garbage.
Reverting this commit resolves above issues.
