[mythtv-users] Occasional Zero Length Recordings

Hi,

I have just upgraded 0.23 to 0.24-1. The backend system has 2 x
Hauppauge Nova T cards, a Hauppauge DVB-S2, and a PVR 350. The
0.23/0.24-1 transition was at the same time as a update to Centos 5.6
and a new driver came in for the DVB-S2 card that allowed the S2
functionality to work. Apart from the PVR 350, the cards have cx88 chips.

I have noticed that a daily recording that happens at 12:15 from the
DVB-S2 card (from an SD channel) is zero length 50% of the time. When
this first happened I stopped the backend and ran a scan of the
available satellite channels to check that the s2 card was receiving OK.
It was.

Today I noticed that when I stopped/started the backend after the
recording failure the stop was followed by with a [Failed] response, as
if the backend was dead. A few days ago I got a 15 min recording of a 50
min show.

I stop the backend briefly during the night an run a mysql backup.

The system is Centos 5.6, 64bit, 3G Ram, Pentium D processor. I have a
udev rule that makes the cards appear as the same devices over reboots.

What should I be looking for in the logs and can I increase the logging
so I can trace the problem.

Thanks

Ken
