i dont have any technical knowledge of broadcast material but cant they
choose what programs are broadcasted in what quality, thus only affecting
certain programs? i'm pretty sure adverts are only in SD even on HD channels
though..

OP - do you have issues with specific programs or any BBC HD content?


PS - i dont watch tennis, only motorsport which isnt covered on BBC HD.
although as i've previously said, i dont have issues with BBC HD.
