[mythtv-users] Why does mythvideo update metadata while watching videos?

See subject. I was getting stuttering, and I finally ran mythtv via
command line (for real time logging via console). About 1/3 of the
time I go to watch something it decides to start pulling metadata,
especially if I haven't gone to mythvideo in a few hours. Every
stutter is exactly accompanied by processing a jpg from tvdb/etc.

Is there any way to turn this off? I understand it doing it in the
background, but shouldn't it stop once I start watching a video? Or,
better yet, do this on the backend where it belongs?

This is ubuntu 10.10 with latest JYA repo.
