I'm in Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA (One of the "Big Square States").

But it seems to me there should be a better way to handle a "poll" like 
this without deluging everyone's in box.

Perhaps set up one of the many on-line polls available, so people could 
respond without adding to the list traffic?
