Odd.   I can't say I've seen that before.  What you probably need to do
is look at mythburn.log as it is the more verbose log file.   And the
problem is going to be *before* the mplex part.  i.e., it's not mplex
that is failing, but rather whatever whatever creates temp.m2v.
(presumably mpeg2enc for creating the menu)
