I'll know by tomorrow if it chokes on the sample TS file that I have. :)

Yes, I tried e.g. Gant Animated and it worked fine.

OK, I just checked the ISO that I created and it did *not* remove
commercials specified by the cut list! I just assumed since it
completed without error that everything was copacetic.

Glancing through the mythburn.py script, it appears that if the original
file isn't mpeg2, then the commercial cutting won't happen. I was under
the assumption that the transcoding to mpeg2 happened first, and then it
would use mythtranscode to cut the commercials in the resulting stream.

I would think that having MythArchive do a lossless commercial cut after
transcoding into mpeg2 would be the logical thing to do. But currently
this is not the case. Am I correct?

Maybe it is time to look into the commercial cutters:

Has anybody burned hd-pvr content to a DVD without commercials? If so,
how?

Thanks!
