If I have an mpg file with a cut list and I transcode it (like M/job
options/transcode) the a new file without commercials xxx.nuv replaces
the mpg. This is the behavior that we had since the beginning afaik.
This nuv container play directly in myth or mplayer or avidemux etc.
John, I think the example above had a cutlist and was not a nuv file.

Yes I know and I do it but the files produced by hd-pvr (h264)do not
work, the commercial are left intact. If OTOH the files are produce by
pcHDTV card from OTA signals they worked as you described.

The files produced by hd-pvr are xxx.mpg but I believe the h264
introduces some problems for the lossless transcoding.

Yes they do and thank you much John
