If you don't have an option to reserve a permanent IP address by MAC address, see if your router will allow you to install a third party firmware that will, e.g. dd-wrt, openwrt, tomato, et al. 

if not, consider getting a new router that does or will.

If you can't or won't, then consider turning off the DHCP server in your router and making your Myth box (or any continuously on Linux machine) the DHCP server for your network. DHCP is very easy to set up if you already know how to edit a text file.
