[mythtv-users] I would appreciate some help with Satix S2 problem

Again thank you Andre

I managed to make the drivers - and am now at

$ dmesg | grep ngene
[   14.554109] ngene 0000:04:00.0: PCI INT A -> Link[LN2A] -> GSI 18
(level, low) -> IRQ 18
[   14.554119] ngene: Found Mystique SaTiX-S2 Dual (v2)
[   14.555789] ngene 0000:04:00.0: setting latency timer to 64
[   14.555866] ngene: Device version 1
[   14.908643] ngene: Loading firmware file ngene_18.fw.
[   14.919493] ngene 0000:04:00.0: irq 44 for MSI/MSI-X

I have a grabber working on Astra 28E2

But I still cannot scan or record or watch anything - except of course
in Kaffeine. But, as I am setting up a headless server that is not a
lot of use really.

extracted from tail /var/log/mythtv/mythbackend

2011-01-08 22:27:37.214 TVRec(1): Changing from None to WatchingLiveTV
2011-01-08 22:27:37.287 TVRec(1): HW Tuner: 1->1
2011-01-08 22:27:37.356 DVBChan(1:/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0) Error:
SetChannelByString(0001): Failed to initialize multiplex options

Now I know from looking at the tables in the mythtconverg that I have
fequid set for some (a few) based on a script that I found on a wiki
page but I do not appear to have a mplexid set for any.

If necessary I will set these by hand if there is a table somewhere -
that is "do once" donkeywork to get this is working. I would settle for
that.

But this project started in July with a rotor powered dish and an
assumption that the computer would do the donkey work.

Given that Kaffeine can scan get and show the channels on the Astra 28E2
I am assuming that MythTv can also.

Anyone any idea as to how to get this done or what mistake I am making?

Regards,
