[mythtv-users] latest git source, database upgrade hangs

Just did a "git pull", recompile and reinstall. This is what I get if I
start mythtv-setup on the master backend:

At this point I have a blank window with just the background, and it is
hung. I left it this way for over an hour but nothing else happens.
mythfrontend also hangs with similar log messages (it doesn't do a
backup for me). The blank window does not respond to the keyboard, but I
can ssh in and kill it.

Anybody seen this? Is there a workaround? Right now all my front ends
are useless.
