I used to have a lot of trouble with my HD-PVRs and one particular unit
in particular until that unit got swapped out after an apparent failure.
It looks like only the power supply failed. Although I haven't tested the
old unit thoroughly.
Perhaps you're having a problem with the power supply on the HD-PVR?
