Hi Raymond,

Thanks for the reply. Yes I have now resigned myself *groan* that I will
have to upgrade my hardware to be able to run the latest mythtv. For the
time being however I think I will revert back to the older version until I
have done my research on the latest mini-pcs. Currently looking at the
mini-itx boards which look promising with i7 capabilities.

The backend runs the scheduler, the database, encoding of recording if 
you're using framegrabbers, and any commercial detection, transcoding, 
or other tasks you run through the jobqueue.  All decoding for playback 
is done on the frontend.  A 1.73GHz machine of any type is going to 
struggle with anything HD.
