I was getting the same message that you were and I was able to get
this to work with a slightly older kernel:  2.6.35.9-64.fc14
I think lirc_zilog was accidentally left out of  2.6.35.10-68 but was
added back in the kernel you are using.  Looking at 10-74 kernel
changelog, it appears that there are some v4l changes were reverted.
