Thanks, that did it.

On the i7 MBP with Nvidia gfx problem is there still with 10.6.7 :-(

On the C2D MBP with Ati gfx problem can't be reproduced in 10.6.6 or 10.6.7.

I recall something from Adobe about hardware acceleration only working with nvidia hardware so if that's still true there's a possible correlation.

I'll keep the build hanging about in case there's anything else I can test, it's on an otherwise rarely used 200GB Firewire drive.
