Hello,

I am experiencing the same issue.

I had the white lines, and now only truncated text using the mythbuntu
theme.

screen #0:
  dimensions: 1920x1080 pixels (488x274 millimeters)
  resolution: 100x100 dots per inch

488x274 millimeters = 1.78102189 ratio
16:9 = 1.77777777

So the aspect ratio looks OK...

Section "Monitor"
        Identifier "MonitorTMDS"
        Option "DPMS"
        DisplaySize 487 274
        Option "UseEdidDpi" "FALSE"
        Option "DPI" "100 x 100"
        # For 1920x1080 at 100dpi (16:9)
EndSection

Interestingly my xorg.conf has a very slightly different value for
DisplaySize.

The TV is 1920x1080 connected using HDMI.

I am having trouble extracting what I should do to fix this from the
linked thread...

Thanks for your help,

Nico
