[mythtv-users] Sound "pops" when starting playback

When starting playback, I hear a "pop" when the playback starts.  It's
been doing this for ages (with many different releases of Myth), and I'm
not sure if it's even a MythTV issue or a Linux issue, but I haven't
heard any discussion here about it.

Does anyone know what causes this?  Is it something that happens to
everyone?
