(this is a follow up to *Tom Keddie's post* 'Another cause of "length
mismatch between programinfo" found' dated 02-Oct-2010)

You can also fix the bad database entries by simply scanning your channels
in the Channel Editor menu of the MythTV Backend Setup program, and looking
for any channels with non-printing characters. The dead giveaway in the main
screen is a name followed by graphics characters (for example, large
squares). You might also need to look at the Channel Name: field in the
Channel Option - Common screen of each individual channel to make sure that
the cursor is where it should be when you select the field (i.e.,
immediately after the last character of the name).

Simply edit the channel name in the Channel Name: field and MythTV Backend
Setup will fix the database entries for you. After I did this,
MythTVFrontend started displaying its recordings again (MythWeb always
worked fine).

All the best -
Eric
