Interesting.

But, if I'm reading that correctly, isn't it saying that the
functional interface for controlling a STB is no longer mandated to be
a firewire interface, but that there still must be some form of
functional machine control interface, such as IP over ethernet or
something else?  The new rules don't seem to suggest that the operator
can just say "screw you".
