For what it's worth, I am having the same issue, but maybe not. In
every case, the channel change of the cable box via firewire worked
fine, but the HD-PVR fails to record and Myth doesn't seem to get any
indication of it. No failure occurs until I try to play back the
recording, then a "this recording is not available" window pops up. I
run the cat test, and it works fine every time.
This has been happening a lot more lately than it ever did before, for
reasons unknown.
