In theory, tying a tuner to the new slave backend would be easier on your
network since you'd have one wireless hop (Prime->router->slave backend).
Leaving the Prime on the master backend would result in
Prime->router->backend->frontend.

In practice, I'd think the reliability of such a setup would be low
especially if you hit the scenario of using all 3 tuners on the Prime
shared between 2 wireless devices, or watching a master backend recording
while in progress.  You're just asking for failed/glitchy recordings and
pausing or aborting on LiveTV.

My suggestion would be to see what you can do about reducing the wireless
bandwidth use in general.  One idea is to move your router and Prime next
to the backend (or vice versa) so they can all be wired together (since you
already have a Ceton).  Alternately, you could just wire the Prime
directly  to the backend with a crossover ethernet cable.  In either of
these setups, you'd be increasing the reliability of recordings since they
wouldn't be subject to wireless interference or bandwidth constraints.
