innodb has simply not been tested as well with MythTV, but
at least one dev volunteered to run with innodb after 0.24
was released and report back on any problems and I haven't
heard of any. AFAIK the only real problem is that innodb
isn't supported by all distros and we don't want two support
two database engines for the base tables.

I was for a time using innodb, and I believe all the problems
I ran into were due to very poor distro defaults. Even the
myisam defaults are pretty poor, which is why we've had DB
tuning documents for MythTV since before I started using
MythTV...
