For the Prime (and any CableCard tuner) the virtual tuned
channel is converted "automagically" to the real physical
channel frequency/program id to receive the program
based on the mapping sent from the headend

So, no, you should not have to change anything as long
as your CableCard is getting the updates from the headend
correctly(*).

You might want to use the command line utilities to
change the vchannel to 17 (or 717), and examine the
status (and vstatus) from the Prime to insure that it is
tuning to the correct channel. From memory (which
means likely wrong, check the actual docs), that
would be something like:
   hdhomerun_config <device> set /tuner0/vchannel 17
   hdhomerun_config <device> get /tuner0/vstatus
   hdhomerun_config <device> get /tuner0/status
   hdhomerun_config <device> get /tuner0/program
   hdhomerun_config <device> get /tuner0/streaminfo
and the status/program info should match the frequency
and program that your clear QAM tuners use for KCSM.
If not, your CableCard mapping is wrong.

(*) It has been known to occur that a CableCard has
been provisioned with the wrong identity/location
such that it gets the channel mapping from a
neighboring franchise (the reality is that cables
do not always respect franchise boundaries, so
the cable company will send out multiple mappings
for the different franchises on the same physical
cable. Occasionally a mistake is made and
a CableCard is assigned the wrong mapping,
    resulting in much confusion).
