[mythtv-users] HD-PVR and SPDIF In

I had this problem and solved this issue with the following added into my channel changing script (found on this mailing list somewhere)

#!/bin/sh
v4l2-ctl --device=/dev/video0 --set-ctrl=audio_encoding=4
/usr/local/bin/directv.pl setup_channel $1

I would note that the recording had ausio. My fronetned wouldn't play them but my Seagate freagent theatre plus had no problem with it.
