Then everything is fine for that recording if you want to keep it. Or
are you not happy with it? I'm not sure what your reply means since
there is no question in it.

Personally I run mythnuv2mkv as a user job for TV shows I want to keep.

/usr/bin/nice -n 19 /usr/local/bin/mythnuv2mkv.sh --jobid=%JOBID%
--copydir=/var/lib/mythtv/videos/TV --deleterec=ON --chanid=%CHANID%
--starttime=%STARTTIME%

This job encodes the recording to save space, copies it to my mythvideo
directory and deletes the original after success.
