Sure enough. I grabbed the latest v4l driver tree from here:

http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/How_to_Obtain,_Build_and_Install_V4L-DVB_Device_Drivers

Build, installed, loaded, and now I get a video device node. Still
haven't tried to get video, but that's one major hurdle down. Thanks!
