What for?

DVB and V4L device drivers are built into the Red Hat Enterprise
Linux 6 kernels, and as of the 6.1 release, will be very closely
matching what's in the 2.6.38 upstream kernel, including a number
of IR device drivers (mceusb, streamzap, ene-ir, nuvoton-cir,
winbond-cir and a few others). The only not-included bits you
might still need are old lirc_foo drivers (such as lirc_serial
or lirc_zilog).
