[mythtv-users] Getting DVB Tuner To Tune In

Hi folks, I'm having trouble getting my tuner USB stick to tune in, and I was wondering if you could give me any pointers, please?  We have an existing digital box connected and we can receive a signal OK on that, but when I try to get my MythTV to set up its tuning I get nothing.  My stick is a Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-T DVB-T digital freeview USB TV Tuner Stick
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/113962 - here is the web page and Mythbuntu seems to recognise it ok - it appears in the mythtv-setup program and also Mythbuntu prompted me to download the proprietary firmware "additional drivers" that I understand are recommended to sort out some issues this card has with Linux so I did so.  But when I set up a video source and try to scan it doesn't seem to pick up anything.

it seems I am on the uk-SandyHeath transmitter so I have looked around for methods of manually testing my card and so I have run this command:-
scan /usr/share/dvb/dvb-t/uk-SandyHeath -v > channels.conf
but all it comes back with (repeated quite a few times) is
