Hi all. My cable provider dropped their analog channels and went digital.
This is over cable (not dish). I figured this would be a good time to
upgrade to 0.24.
I have an HVR-1250. Myth see's it, and I ran the scan for channels
thing in mythtv-setup, and it found lots of channels. I can go to
live tv and they come in fine.
There are three channels, 11_1, 11_2 and 11_3 that kinda seem to get
EIT data. Nothing else does.
I have searched, but info seems scattered and old. One person says
"set sistandard to dib" while another says "atsc channels should never
be dib" (or something like that).
my dtv_multiplex table has no networkid's. Some say you have to have
transportid's (which I have) and networkid's (which I dont). But they
say its cuz they imported channel.conf and you need to do a full scan
in myth, which is what I did in the first place.
I saw references to "dvbsnoop -s pidscan". dont know what a pid is,
but any time I ran it, it never found anything. Have no idea if thats
ok or not.
Also, I added eit, siparser to my logging, and see things like:
