If you want OTA, then the HDHomeRun is one of the poorest tuners out there
for sensitivity of weaker stations. Even the HVR-1600 beats it by a fair margin.
It's fine with strong locals, though.
For OTA DTV, I generally recommend internal tuner cards when possible,
and HVR-950Q USB sticks for external tuners. Heck, a pair of 950Qs
are even cheaper than an HDHR3, and are much, much better tuners than
the HDHR. Dunno about comparison with the HDHR3 though; nobody has done
a proper head-to-head trial there yet.
