Ok, i managed to get the DB back up. Any ideas now on vdpau?

It seems like all I should have to do is install mythbuntu 10.04, go to
restricted drivers and make sure the recommended one is active, then run
sudo nvidia-xconfig and reboot.

Reboots into safe mode. I have an nvidia 9500 with 512mb ram (pci express).

Does anyone have any ideas?
-Thanks
