Yes, though there is some signal loss. Depending on your reception, you
might want to get two separate antennas. This would also allow you to
aim them in different directions, if you need to in order to get some
channels on one and some channels on the other.

I'm pretty sure they are still required to offer a "broadcast basic"
(SD) service for about $4/month. This is all you need to keep them from
tacking on the extra $10/month for not having any video. And you don't
have to pay the STB tax this way.
Personally, I use Verizon DSL for Internet, Dish for SD premium
channels, Comcast for telephone and SD video, and OTA for HD locals. It
turns out to be cheapest that way, though I don't get much HD.
