Dual function means it will just run a demo or it will install both from the initial ascii menu options or from the running demo 
however install from the earlier ascii menu IME is preferable.    The menu options should be self explanatory.  On booting are you 
getting the icon and menu options and RAM test etc?  What is your motherboard brand and model, CPU and RAM?  What are your tuner 
cards - if they are old what is their main chipset?
