For a long time the PVRs (150, 250, 350) were pretty much the gold standard for Myth systems in the US. On-board encoders, 
great support and wide availability, as well as a Linux-friendly manufacturer.

But then, along came HD.

I'm not sure I'd buy anything that wasn't HD capable these days, unless it was for an application I was certain would 
never be used with HD (security cameras come to mind, but even some of them are HD these days).
