I've made more progress on my own.

I came across this program 'evtest'. It was suggested to test all your
input event to find your remote.

sudo evtest /dev/input/event5

After going through all my event inputs, I discovered I was using the
wrong one. It is event5.

Another cat on devices showed this, but I don't remember seeing it
earlier.

I: Bus=0005 Vendor=150a Product=1200 Version=011b
N: Name="TiVo Keyboard Remote"
P: Phys=00:11:D9:44:0C:EA
S:
Sysfs=/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:06.0/usb4/4-1/4-1.3/4-1.3:1.0/bluetooth/hci1/hci1:11/input5
U: Uniq=00:11:D9:45:02:1A
H: Handlers=kbd event5
B: EV=12001f
B: KEY=c37fff 32ff025 bf104456 0 0 1 30f84 8a27c007 ffff7bfa d951dfff
febeffdf ffefffff ffffffff fffffffe
B: REL=40
B: ABS=ffffff01 30000
B: MSC=10
B: LED=1f

I then changed my remote name in hardware.conf to 'devinput' and used
the mythbuntu-lirc-generator to create a new lirc file.

After that I am now seeing pressed keys from irw! :)

Thanks,
Mike
