Change the Playback Profile group to Slim in mythfrontend 
Utilties/Setup|Setup|TV Settings|Playback, 3rd screen.  It's a known 
issue with broken video drivers and certain deinterlacers (such as 
Bob).  (I'd guess you're using ATI, er, AMD video, right?)
