Don't know about MythStream, I would guess if it worked under 0.23 then
it shouldn't be too much trouble to get it working under 0.24 when it is
released.

The MythMusic internal player can play Shoutcast streams but there
currently is no UI to add the streams and while the shoutcast parser can
extract the metadata the current interface doesn't update it. I had
hoped to get the conversion to MythUI completed for the 0.24 release and
would have added the Ice/Shoutcast UI in the process but have been busy
the last 2 or 3 months with another project.

Hacking the DB is never advisable unless you know what you are doing but
if you want to give it a go you have to change the filename of one of
the tracks in music_songs to point to the playlist file sent out by the
radio station you want to play eg http://di.fm/mp3/electro.pls is one
the streams I tested with. IIRC you also have to set the directory_id to
0 as well. Then just play that track as normal. You could edit the track
title to be more meaningful when you are searching for it in the
playlist editor etc.
