[mythtv-users] Ubuntu 10.10 upgrade and remote control problems

I upgraded my MythTV boxes to Ubuntu 10.10 and it caused problems with my
Streamzap remotes. It's possible that other remotes may have similar
issues.

The problem is that pressing the direction buttons are doubled - pressing
Down once causes moves two entries down in the menu. Other people have also
reported problems with this in the Ubuntu forums.

I don't totally understand everything that happening yet, but it looks
like there are some new drivers to handle IR remotes in the new kernel and
both the old lirc code and the new driver are both reporting the same
button press.

A work around for now is to comment out the direction buttons in the lirc
mapping file, but a better fix is needed.
